Same with pcoaster not releasing an aquatica expansion as well.Īll in all this is pretty much in line with what I have personally expected. this is the main reason I think pzoo is dead besides the next few animal dlcs because any expansion worth expansion prices are going to need true water physics that this engine is just not capable of (think aquarium animals and the like). While they have done amazing things with this one, there are incredible limitations, including pathing, the number of textures in game (see the stupid limitation of biomes in pcoaster and pzoo) and “faked” water physics (a water like sheet over a hole in the ground is not real water mechanics). I hope the jwe and pcoaster sequels mean a new planet engine. The rumors before stated they had to do a sequel since there were some problems with the engine limiting what they could do.
Jwe sequel has been leaked before, so I 100% believe that. It’s a highly profitable and highly visible game ip With pcoaster having been in maintenance mode for near two/three years, I expected a sequel in the works for some time. With animal packs rounded out to some degree, i expected a sunsetting of dlc for pzoo, and the game to go into maintenance mode. Among coaster tycoon fans it is very well known, especially after the highly visible debacle that was roller coaster tycoon world. The only thing I don’t get is their statement that planet coaster is “not as well known”. It wouldn't be a surprise if that person just took the leaked roadmap and added their own fake leaks to make it look credible. Anyone could have written this, even if it sounds believable. On the other hand, this is once again a 4chan leak so yeah. It does line up with that leaked 5 year Frontier roadmap that predicted JWE 2 and PlanCo 2, and that roadmap has been nothing but accurate so far. However, I wouldn't dismiss this "leak" right away. Planet Zoo really is the kind of game that would greatly benefit from 3 years of support instead of 2. I figured this game will at least have DLC for the three remaining continents and a bird pack, maybe something like a Central American pack as well. I guess we all know that support is gonna end some day, but leaving this game with no flying birds whatsoever, practically no support for European animals and generally very few animals for any continent that isn't Asia or Africa would be very.
